I would be curious to know what readers think of “missions conferences.” So many churches today are foregoing the missions conference idea in favor of other approaches.

At the same time, the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptists (IMB) is reviving the idea. This will be the first conference I attend since they have rolled out their new “Global Impact” approach to a missions conference. Jerry Rankin, the top dog at the IMB, will be the speaker.

Any thoughts on conferences out there?
